My name is Dr. Helen Joffe. I have been practicing dentistry for more than 30 years. My career began in Russia and then continued for the last 20 years in the United States after I received my DDS from New York University Dental School. I am running my practice in Buffalo Grove and at the same time working for US Navy at Great Lakes Navy Dental facility.

My goal has always been to protect and maintain a patient’s natural teeth because I think this is the healthiest route for the patient. I prefer a minimally invasive approach to treating a patient. I employ this approach for everything I do including treatment of deep caries and in the choice of implants over the dental bridges, which would require to put crowns on the healthy teeth. My goal is to maintain a patient’s natural teeth while still giving him/her the best dental treatment.

My treatment plans are always centered on the attempt to minimally change tooth structure in order to ensure pulpal (part of the tooth that contains blood supply and nerves) health. This approach allows me to decrease the need for more invasive procedures like root canals.
